Free eBooks

Dear Readers,

As I check back and forth to see if KOBO has published God First: Volume III, I realize that I forgot to mention that the latest volume is also a free download; just like the first two. (I checked at 8pm CDT and God First: Volume III is now available on KOBO) 🙂

Someone asked me, a while ago, how I expected to make money if I planned on listing free books, and the truth is, I never expected to make money from the words that God has put in my heart. I also don’t believe I’m supposed to just lock them up, when they may give hope to another. Since I write out of the Love that God has put in my heart, I have all faith that if God moves people to want to support us, then it will happen. In the interim, we fight the good fight to keep the website going, and plan to hold onto InDesign as long as we can, in order to convert the images and text into the published works. If anyone knows a free and comparable program to InDesign, please comment. We appreciate your insights, and your prayers especially.

We pray you will find God’s blessing, a word of encouragement for life’s daily struggles, and Hope in Jesus Christ. May He lead and guide us all for His will and glory.

Go With God!!!

God First: Volume III

Dear Readers,

Great news! Our latest volume of praise to God has been released. God First: Volume III is available for download through Barnes & Noble, and iBooks. It’s also available on Tolino for international distribution. At this time, KOBO is still processing, and when it’s available, I’ll post an update. We’ve downloaded the different versions ourselves to make sure they look right, and they did a real decent job of keeping our styling elements in place.
We continue to pray about Volume IV, knowing that if it is meant to be, it will happen like the first three; your prayers will be appreciated also.

Speaking of prayers, when we first began our journey into creating the foundation for each volume of the book, there was quite a bit of back and forth between different writing platforms and publishing programs, as well as a lot of life changes happening. There is quite a story behind these three volumes. If you are interested, please let us know. You might be surprised to find out that these were all published while we’ve been on the road, not in a comfy office somewhere. This was all accomplished with God’s mercy, blessing, and provision; always with constant prayer and thanksgiving.

Please pray for us as we embark on our next endeavor, whatever that is supposed to be. We have multiple Christian based stories in development, as well as the possible next chapter for our favorite characters in My Guardian Angels at Table 7. While this story is meant to be a mini story, there are many aspects of the characters’ stories that have gone back and forth on the drawing board, many times. When we are closer to a definite decision, we’ll let you know. If you are interested in knowing what happens to our favorite couple, please let us know.
We pray you will find God’s blessing in every volume of God First. Please remember, the scripture that we enclosed in each volume is meant to lead you back to the Holy Bible.

Go With God!!!

I Believe

The stars that fill the sky at night,
They do not ask, who gave them light?
The birds know too, Whose song they sing,
Their ancient verse, blessed by The King.
They sing, and never ask, nor plead,
For no one’s permission do they need.

Oh to be as free as that bird,
To sing a song that none has heard,
To sing that special song of Love,
As a child, to God above;
To let Him know I Love Him so,
How sorry I am, that I did go:
Away from His Love, away from His Light,
So very far into the night.

But when I got to where I’d roam,
I tried so hard to get back home;
Back to His Light, back to His Love,
Back to our Home, so far above.
But then the path, I couldn’t see,
I felt that all was lost to me.
Until one day, in deep despair,
I bitter wept, entrenched in prayer:

Then, like a breath, without a form,
A spring time scent, without a storm:
I sat in time, but I was not;
Far gone from present care or thought.
My body numb, I could not feel,
As I look back, I felt unreal;
And then a calm from head to toe,
Like peaceful Summer waters flow.
Like drifting in and out of dreams;
The happy sound of birds and streams.
This Peace had wiped away each tear,
A quiet only the soul can hear;
And let me know, and let me see,
The path was still in front of me.
While ear could not hear word was said,
I knew my home was up ahead.

And then, much like a gentle breeze,
The kind that puts the mind at ease;
With warmth that gives the heart a tug,
Enveloped me much like a hug,
Then eased me back into my place;
A hug and tear, in time and space.
My senses back, feelings returned,
I won’t forget the lessons learned;
For He who made each world and star,
Is always near, and never far.
And Christ who stands at unseen door,
Has walked upon this ground before;

And so my song is here my friend,
About God’s Love that has no end;
The song I sing, of greatest Love,
To my Father in Heaven above;

And so my song He did receive,
Because that I believe.

Dear Readers,

As is the case sometimes, projections fail. When things don’t go the way we expect, the best we can do is continue to pray, and trust that God has a plan. This lead-in is meant to convey that Volume III of the God First Book Series, is not quite ready to be released. I will post an update as soon as I have more information.

Since I know that there are some who are waiting for the latest inspirational words, I will be posting something on this site shortly.  The only way I know how to share His great Love, is through the poetry that He Blesses me with. The poem is longer than my usual stuff and more like a ballad, and it is called “The Gate.” I pray that you will keep checking back, and I pray that our Father will fill you with His truth and wisdom.

The Gate

And so it was, I beheld,
the miles that stretched before me,
To undertake, and to go,
or to wait and never see,

What was out there, was unknown;
the journey was very long,
Yet our Father knows all things;
we are weak, but He is strong.

Then appeared another road,
of dirt and rocks and clay,
It was so seldom traveled;
the tracks had been blown away,

I almost could not see the road,
yet I could feel it’s presence there,
An old worn gate hung on two posts;
this path the wind blew bare.

An inscription was written on one post,
then continued to the other:
-Friend you’re always welcome here,
there’s always room for another.-

But then the road behind me called:
it had its own allure,
I had a lot of friends thereon,
which made my choice less sure,

When a familiar voice, from my past,
said, “Please do not delay.”
Beckoning from the gate,
“The choice is yours today:

“For if you go back on the road,
you may blend with the crowd,
You may not hear my voice again,
for the road noise is so loud.”

The voice was one so dear to me,
I could not hide my tears,
He walked a humble path in life,
I missed his smile for years,

There I stood, with choices two,
but did not love the world,
Yet the way with old worn gate,
was hid, ‘neath wind that swirled,

Then said the voice that was so dear,
“This gift is yours to receive,
The only ones who see this gate,
are those who do believe.”

Humbly, I walked up to the gate,
and the rust was changed in hue;
Still simple looking, yet very clean,
when I got a better view,

Which brought my eyes to rest upon,
some words that I saw there,
Etched into the metal,
that I thought was old and bare,

“Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:14

And so I put my hand upon,
the olden gate so pure,
The noise behind me faded;
the crowd lost its allure,

I left behind my need of ‘stuff,’
that keeps us all weighed down;
Burdened beneath its heavy weight,
it pins us to the ground,

There was a latch, that was not locked,
upon which gold did shine,
The simple truth was written there,
I knew each precious line:

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

I read the words and felt each one,
like a hidden treasure found,
The truth has always been in view,
not buried underground;

Then the voice of one so dear,
confirmed my thoughts aloud,
“My child, only the humble can receive,
but not the very proud,

“For man has placed conditions,
upon what God sent from above,
But there are no conditions,
upon a Father’s Love,

“It is free for everyone,
no membership, no cost,
For all these things were paid for,
upon that rugged cross.”

And then I passed through the gate,
for the strength was not my own,
And while I could see no other,
I knew I was not alone,

For life has knocked me down,
as I travel across the land,
And I’m always helped back up,
by an unseen hand,

And once in a while I’ll see the face,
or hear the voice so dear,
Telling me, to hang on,
because the time is near,

And so I go along this way,
the road is very rough,
And when I feel so spent,
and I think I’ve had enough,

I hear the Apostle Paul’s words:
No sufferings of this time are so great,
To mention or even be compared,
with the glory that does await…

…You need only to believe,
to step through that humble gate.

Romans 8:18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

John 14:5,6
5Thomas saith into him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
